BROADCAST ATLANTA DONATES VIDEO ARCHIVES TO ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER

More than 50 interviews with Atlanta’s leaders included

ATLANTA, GA - Local video production company donates 15 years of archive footage including VIP interviews, aerials and street photography to The Atlanta History Center’s Digital Program.

As an early adopter of short form video production, Broadcast Atlanta captured dozens of Atlanta’s civic, political, sports, entertainment and business leaders in contextual interviews and events since 2007. Notable examples include Mayors Shirley Franklin, Mayor Kasim Reed, Carol Tome (Home Depot and UPS), Sam Williams (Metro Atlanta Chamber) Ambassador Andrew Young, Laura Turner Seydel and Secretary Sonny Perdue.

The collection includes raw footage and 200 published web shows including “BAD
TV” (Broadcast Atlanta Daily), “The Greener Atlanta Show”, “Decatur Now”, and “Families’ First”.

The evolution of the city’s commitment to sustainability is prominent along other upstart community initiatives such as the inaugural Decatur Book Festival and the Beltline.

The donation to The Atlanta History Center coincides with a donation by Broadcast Atlanta and Jonathan Greenhill to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) of 40 hours of documentary footage from of the 2015 European refugee crisis (Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia).

“This commitment to The Atlanta History Center and the UNHCR ensures that the history we witnessed here and abroad is forever available to future historians and filmmakers.” Jonathan Greenhill, Owner, Broadcast Atlanta.

Broadcast Atlanta was founded in 2007 by Jonathan Greenhill and has produced film and photography projects in 18 countries.

The Atlanta History Center is located at 130 West Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305 and is considered a top destination in the Southeast.
